This year’s BBMAs will also feature the third annual Change Maker Award, awarded to 14-year-old environmental justice activist Mari “Little Miss Flint” Copeny. Blige is the 11th artist to receive the Icon Award, and won the 1995 Billboard Music Award for R&B album of the year, as well as winning nine awards at the 2006 BBMAs.
